Riding Lessons & Instruction at Kootenai Creek Equestrian Center, Stevensville Montana with Professional Riding Instructor Malika B. Coston.                              

 • Riding Lessons:  Malika B. Coston offers private and group horse riding lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced students of all ages and levels. Malika teaches all styles, including English/Hunter, Jumping, Western, Basic Pleasure Riding (English, Western, Trail Riding), Performance (English and Western for competing in Class A, Regional and National Shows and Endurance. Emphasis of training is on Classical and Natural Horsemanship, including correct seat and hands, form to function, and achieving a harmonious relationship between horse and rider, resulting in overall excellence in horsemanship.   • Summer Day Camp: Riding lessons are offered each morning during the Kootenai Creek Ranch Summer Day Camps for children at Kootenai Creek Equestrian Center. In addition to riding lessons, art and dance/drama classes integrating horse themes are included in the 1-week sessions. Contact us for more information about the summer day camp.

    • Coaching Services:  Coaching services available for shows (Class A, Regional, and National).

 • Consulting Services: Evaluation, consultation regarding horses considered for purchase.

 • Horse Training: Horse training is available specifically with horse and owner participation.

Malika B. Coston’s Horse and Rider Training Approach:  

A Blend of Classical and Natural Horsemanship

Malika’s expert instruction helps the riding student succeed in the goals the student has set for themselves and their horse. Malika will assist in developing a keen understanding of where the horse is mentally and guide positive changes in the horse and rider. By increasing a heightened awareness through intuitive communication, the horse and rider will gain confidence, both physically and mentally. Malika will help the horse and rider correct negative habits and replace them with positive, proven techniques in order for the horse and rider to perform in harmony and realize their full potential. Her unique approach has proven itself time and again in her students and horses who have excelled in regional and National Shows of all breeds and riding styles.
